Questions you might have
Is there really no catch with the free plan?
No catch. The Starter plan is free forever — not a trial, not a teaser. You get one popup, 2,500 views a month, and full access to engagement-based triggers and A/B testing. The only difference is the Sottly badge on your popup and the view limit.
What counts as a "view"?
A view is counted when your popup is actually shown to a reader — not when the page loads. If a reader doesn't trigger your popup (because they didn't scroll far enough or spend enough time), it doesn't count against your limit.
Can I change plans anytime?
Yes. Upgrade, downgrade, or cancel whenever you want. No contracts, no cancellation fees, no awkward retention flows. If you downgrade from Creator to Starter, your extra popups will be paused — not deleted — so you can reactivate them if you upgrade again.
What happens if I hit the view limit on Starter?
Your popup simply stops appearing for the rest of the month. No overage charges, no surprise bills. You'll get a heads-up when you're approaching the limit so you can decide whether to upgrade or wait for the reset.
Do you offer annual billing?
Not yet. We'd rather earn your subscription every month than lock you into a discount you might regret. If we add annual billing later, it'll be a straightforward option — not a psychological pricing trick.
What's the "insights engine" in Creator?
It's a layer of suggestions powered by your own data — things like "your popup performs better on articles over 1,200 words" or "readers who scroll past 60% convert 3x more." It helps you understand why your popups work, not just whether they do.
